What helps us get a result
You do not need all of the following — but every additional detail improves the result and shortens the time it takes. Send what you have.
What happens next
- 1
You send the enquiry
Takes a minute. No cost, no obligation, and nothing is disclosed to the person you are asking about.
- 2
We assess it
We look at what you have and decide whether there is enough to work with. If there is not, we say so — we would rather decline than take a job we cannot deliver.
- 3
You get a quote
A fixed fee and an expected turnaround, confirmed in writing before any work starts. Field work is the exception and is quoted hourly with expected duration agreed upfront.
- 4
We begin on your instruction
Nothing happens until you say yes.
Volume work
Bulk files and ongoing work
If you have a ledger, a batch of placements, or ongoing volume rather than a single matter, say so in your enquiry. Bulk work is priced per file and we will assess a sample of your data before quoting, so you see a realistic hit rate before committing.
Before you enquire
What happens after I send an enquiry?
We read it and come back to you — usually the same business day — with whether we can help, what it will cost, and how long it will take. If the information you have is not enough to work with, we will tell you that instead of taking the job.
Does it cost anything to enquire?
No. Enquiring and receiving a quote costs nothing, and there is no obligation to proceed.
Will you contact the person I am asking about?
No. A trace is conducted without contacting the subject or alerting them in any way. We only make contact if you specifically instruct us to — for example where documents need to be served.
What if I only have a little information?
Send what you have. A name alone is workable if it is uncommon; a name plus a date of birth or last known suburb is usually enough to start. We will assess it honestly before you commit to anything.
Is my enquiry confidential?
Yes. Your enquiry and your identity are not disclosed to the person being located, and all documentation is held securely in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Can I send documents or a file with my enquiry?
Send the enquiry first and we will reply with a secure way to send documents, ledgers or bulk files. Please do not attach sensitive material to a first email.
